Goals: - to develop positive motivation;
-         to pupils’ taste and stimulate them to know more about cultures to promote of  English-speaking countries

The most effective technologies: interactive technologies (role-play , project work)
Procedure of project work:
Every day students were to find information beforehand about the tradition that suited the theme of the day. For example, the theme of  day 5 was  “Festive traditions” . Group # 1 – Halloween traditions, group #2 – St. Valentine’s traditions, group #3 – Pancake traditions. Students came to class with prepared information and during the information session they had the time to discuss and compound  it onto  the poster , think about the presentation of  their information (as a feedback of that day  it was role-play).

The year 2016 was special for Smila school 1. We took part in Go Camp project supported by British Council and has become one of the winners. The main goal of the project is to bring up the new versatile and intelligent generation of active citizens, who are competent to study lifelong and are ready to the 21st century challenges; to inspire the youth to fluently use the foreign languages and be open to other cultures and experiences. After participation in GoCamp training conducted by British Council coaches and English Fellows from Embassy of the USA in Ukraine we, the English teachers, inspired by the new ideas started to get ready to the great summer story named TESCO and soon we felt it has become the part of our lives. And this is the way it should be when you enclose your soul into the work you do. Having chosen the strand Citizenship (it is one of the global issues, which should be implemented to modern education), we thoroughly considered the program of summer camp “A Better Me”, composed the project book for campers, involved 23 students of our school and looked forward to the beginning of the project. Each day of TESCO summer camp was dedicated to overcoming of the language barrier and bringing up the active citizens.
